Bishop Sir Walter Lee Mack, Jr. is a committed pastor and teacher whose vision and love of God and people is expansive enough to reach the nations and microscopic enough to touch individuals on a personal level. Diligently serving as pastor and teacher of Union Baptist Church, in Winston Salem, N.C., Bishop Mack provides spiritual guidance and leadership to his congregation of over 4,000. Bishop Mack currently serves as Metropolitan Bishop with Global United Fellowship. He provides leadership to the South Eastern and Coastal Atlantic Provinces.
Formally educated at Elon College in Elon, NC (Bachelor of Arts-Mass Communication), Duke University in Durham, NC (Master of Divinity) and United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio(Doctor of Ministry), Bishop Mack is devoted to lifelong education and advancement. He completed a continuing education program at Harvard University, which focused on economic development and community revitalization where he was both a pupil and invited guest preacher. He was also a guest lecturer and round table participant at Oxford University in Oxford, England that focused on the role of religion and education in the government. Bishop Mack currently serves students as their academic advisor and theological mentor through the Doctoral Program at United Theological Seminary, which focuses on developing leadership for effective programming ministry in the Post-Modern Era.
Bishop Mack has envisioned and implemented innovative methods of evangelism to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. Among his pioneering outreach methodology are programs that are reaching the non-church goer in a contemporary culture.
Included but not limited to are: the Corner 2 Corner Drug Dealers Conference (C2C) where hundreds of drug dealers have been galvanized to enhance their knowledge of God, self and society; the Gospel Ice Cream truck reaching young children; First Friday concert series to reach young adults and provide an alternative to night clubs; and the Youth Character Football League with an emphasis on providing youth with a positive athletic experience, while addressing prevalent social issues.

Bishop Mack is the recipient of numerous awards and honors. The African American Pulpit Journal cited him as one of the top 20 preachers under 40 years of age. His affiliations with organizations and the boards he serves on include National Baptist Convention, Progressive Baptist Convention, NC General Baptist State Convention, Second Harvest Food Bank, Winston-Salem State University, NC Governor’s Crime Commission, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., Triad Cultural Arts, Inc, and the Union Community Development Corporation. On the celebration of his tenth pastoral anniversary, Trade Street was renamed in his honor. Most recently, Bishop Mack was inducted into the Martin Luther King Jr. Board of Preachers of Morehouse College. Bishop Mack is married to Lady Kim Romaine Bush. He is a native of Winston-Salem, North Carolina and is the son of the late Mrs. Frances Mack and the late Rev. Dr. Sir Walter Mack, Sr.
